Some idea for a hippo character that eventually got axed from a project at work. Done in Flash. The one in the middle still makes me giggle whenever I look at at it.

More adventures in vector illustration! 

So I recently started an internship at a very small mobile app startup and they've been teaching me how to use Flash. This is something I did at work for practice, just getting used to the program and learning how to "render" with shapes and color. Definitely an exercise in patience and color theory!

So far I think I like Flash much more than Illustrator for vectors though.

Trying to figure out how to do vector illustration. I've always admired how clean vectors look, but I'm still getting used to using the pen tool and thinking in solid shapes. Practice makes perfect, yeah?
